Community Dinners
On the 2nd Wednesday of each month, through the generosity of local businesses and teams of volunteers from the Churches in Lake George meals are provided, free to those in our community, 5-6pm. Volunteers donate desserts and services. Watch our Bulletin for details. Please join us and bring a friend! Begins the first week after Columbus Day (October) until the 2nd Wednesday of May. New volunteers and service groups are needed and welcome.
Bereavement
Ministers provide emotional and spiritual support to individuals and families experiencing grief due to the death of a loved one. They assist in planning the funeral liturgy (reading selection, and worship-aid preparation); assisting at the funeral liturgy when needed as altar servers, lectors and eucharistic ministers; providing wake and graveside services.
Food Pantry
The Pantry provides food to those families in need in the Lake George area. The Pantry is open on the 1st and 3rd Friday each month, from 11am until 2 pm. Families must reside in Warren County to be eligible. Qualified volunteers and donations of items for our Food Pantry are always welcome.
Parish Outreach
Outreach provides a wide variety of Senior Services at Sacred Heart. Homebound visits with communion, visits to Westmount Infirmary and The Landing Nursing Homes. Transportation can be provided to Church or doctor appointments. Volunteers are always welcome and needed.
Garden Workers
A ministry that helps with the planting, weeding, and maintenance of our flowerbeds and shrubs around the church and parish center. An ‘on-growing’ministry! New volunteers are always welcome!
H.A.R.K.
The H.A.R.K. ministry started in 2015, during our first year, thanks to the generous donation of the Sacred Heart parishioners, we collected over 8,600 items and $1,862.00, which reached hundreds of local kids in need. The needs of our children vary from food to hygiene items, even school supplies. HARK’s outreach program donates to the Open Door ministry, the Wait House, and Lake George School District.
SPIRITUAL ENRICHMENT COMMITTEE: aims to bolster the spiritual development of parishioners, enrich learning, provide education about our religion, and enhance our faith, fellowship and renewal by providing shared worship, study, and devotional experiences.
